    origin story

    As a child of the Web 1.0, I was enamored by the creativity and possibility of the Internet. Through Geocities, Xanga, LiveJournal, phpBB forums, and beyond, I had always wanted to create my own corner of the web. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good understanding of the Internet, HTML, CSS, servers, hosting, or anything else, so my dreams went largely unrealized. Stumbling upon neocities.org re-ignited a passion for the old web, before monetization and enshittification commoditized the internet we knew and loved.
